Today has been a meh kind of day. The job search started to take its toll, so I took a day off to get refocused. I know that everything that I didn't get wasn't a match (and that's not just sour grapes - for example - I emphasized work/life balance and having outside interests only to find out in subsequent interviews that people in that company live,work and breathe each other. I mean...c'mon - you people live/work in NYC) but it was still kind of demoralizing.
Fortunately, I have a most awesome Mommy who has some idea of what I'm going through and she listened from a knowing place. Relaxing, reading, talking to Mommy, prayer - feeling much better now.
But I digress...
Nothing was on TV tonight but as I was channel surfing I came across one of the best cartoons ever..."Pinky and the Brain". It was on Toon Disney!
When I was in college, "Pinky and the Brain" and "Animaniacs" were the bomb. Everyone watched. Now that I'm older and seeing it again, I have a greater appreciation for "Pinky and the Brain". For example - in the episode I'm watching as I write this, Brain dresses up in a man suit...chaos and hilarity ensue and Brain ends up in court. An example of the sheer brillance of the show - the prosecutor is modeled after CHRISTOPHER WALKEN.
I'm so glad that that was on tonight!

I also loved Bubba Bo Bob Brain, brilliant. One of my favorite lines of all time in anything, "Got a spot of fire on your head Brain."
