Time

Not having a job yet and having a limited income lulled me into becoming a major couch potato. When the highlight of your day is an update to dlisted.com, it's time for an intervention.

So, what am I doing now? I've gotten my ass out of the house and back to the cafe. I have a phone interview on Friday and a TBD in person interview. I'm prepping for them. I'm also going to try a free e-course to improve my French and add some other languages under my belt.

I am so used to being engaged that not having anything to do is really a pain. However, I am determined to hold out for the right match for a job - assignments/responsibililty, location, compensation package. Opportunities that meet all criteria are not as plentiful as one would think. As it turns out, many CPG companies exist in Nowheresville. Being in Nowheresville pretty much forces your life to revolve around the company...been there, done that, got the T-shirt.

I live a faith based life and that's pretty much all that's keeping me going right about now. Belief that there is an entitiy (God - cuz I'm a Christian) greater than me who's looking out for me during all of this and prepping me for something better. In the meantime, I'll keep plugging away, doing what I can until it's my time.
