This morning I was listening to the Tom Joyner Morning Show. A listener called in and asked Tom the following: "Tom, why didn't you ask Tyler Perry if he had enough vaseline for Malik Yoba's lips?"
Man, that brought back memories. It always amazed me that Malik Yoba could be so careless with those things. How could he look in the mirror and not see that we he was in reverse blackface? For that matter, how could the makeup people or the produers not stop that travesty?
Maybe I'm over reacting...maybe his lips weren't so bad.
This afternoon a rerun of "New York Undercover" proved me wrong.
I remember reading an interview he did where he addressed the lip situation. His excuse "I lick my lips a lot and they tend to dry out". If that's truly the case, then, to paraphrase the TJMS crew, brother needs a vaseline drip.
Just talking about this makes me wanna go find my lipchap.

This is soooo funny!! I've always wondered why Malik's lips were so ashy!!
Man I loved New York Undercover but he did need some lipchap. Reverse blackface is the funniest thing I have seen all day!
